Artist Statement

Victoria Boam – Artist, Image-Maker & Storyteller

Victoria Boam is an award-winning visual artist and creative powerhouse whose work spans photography, fine art, and special effects. With roots in Stamford and a bold vision shaped by a Foundation Degree from De Montfort University and a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication from Wolverhampton, her work blends raw emotion, surreal beauty, and a love for visual storytelling. She also holds a diploma in Artistic Makeup and Wig-making from Stamford College, adding a theatrical edge to her artistic lens.

Her creative journey has taken her everywhere from gallery walls to behind the scenes of celebrity shoots. Victoria has worked as both a makeup artist and photographer for actors, athletes, and public figures, balancing high-end glamour with soul-led creativity. Alongside her partner Ed, she co-runs Lovely Creatures, an award-winning wedding photography studio known for its emotive, unscripted style — and proud winners of Wedding Photography Company of the Year (TWIA East Midlands, 2019).

Victoria was named one of the Top 20 International Portrait Photographers by Inspirational Photographers and won a prestigious Golden Lens Award. Her fine art work has been exhibited widely, including at The Holy Art Gallery and Boomer Gallery in London, Leicester’s New Walk Museum, Rugby Art Gallery, and Wolverhampton’s Lighthouse. She was a finalist in the Attenborough Prize and The British Art Prize, with her work showcased at London’s OXO Gallery.
